Go for companies with low debt ratio. (Preferably less than one)
A high interest coverage ratio ( above 3 x ) and a high return on equity are big advantages.
Avoid companies with huge liabilities in the form of foreign currency convertible bonds/external commercial borrowings.
Look at the quality of the management,  its governance,  standards and how investor friendly  the company is.

Hi Friends, Please become an investor and not a trader or a gambler .  You remember the life cycle of investing.  You can afford to take great risks when you are young,  As you cross 55 years you should consider gradually getting out of risk instruments.  Read  carefully, and take informed decisions and think it wisely.  When you apply for an IPO , read about the offer .  Practically it is very difficult as the documents have several pages, even abridged prospectus too is difficult to read.  At last you read the risk factors, promoters, company track record, issue objects and key financial data.  Invest only in the fundamentally strong companies.  Strong stocks are also liquid stocks.  Don’t go for penny stocks.  Always remember equity investments cannot be sold back to the company or promoters.  You can consider investing in good IPOs.  During bull runs, almost all IPOs provide positive returns on the listing day.  It is better to exit on the listing date.  After that going high is very remote in the near future.  Investing in PSU IPOs is profitable because retail investors get 5% discount on issue price.  If you have no knowledge in share trading go for  mutual fund route.

Too many people in the capital market  offer price advice, through TV, pint media, websites, email, SMS etc.  Don’t act blindly on such advice .  Read and grab it.  Think wisely and take action independently.  Don’t get carried away by attractive headlines appealing visuals/messages.  Remember you cannot buy the shares of the Indian economy or of a sector.  Ultimately you have to buy into a specific company.  All companies in a sector are not necessarily outstanding.  Each sector will have some very good companies .  Some reasonably good companies, and many bad companies.  But you  careful  about companies that change their names to reflect current sectoral fancy.  Be careful promoters issuing/warrants to themselves.  Many a times preferential allotments to promoters are for the benefit of the promoters only at the expenses of minority shareholders.

Beware of guaranteed returns offers.  Be extra careful before investing in any offer which promises very high returns.  Don’t borrow to invest.  Interests mount by the day returns don’t necessarily.  Invest with in your means.  Deal only with registered intermediaries.  There are many unregistered operators in the market who will lure you with promises of high return,  and then vanish with your money or they will sell or they will undertake unauthorized transactions.  Hence deal with only registered intermediaries.  Read through the schedules as well as qualifications and notes to the accounts. Check out for other income and usual expenses.  Look out especially for entries relating to sundry debtors, subsidiaries a/cs, cash/bank balances.  Even most investors may also buy shares and hold rarely to sell.  Profit is profit only when it is in your bank and not in your register or excel sheet.  Don’t be greedy.  Leave some profits for the buyer too.  You cannot maximize the markets profits.  Set a profit target and sell unless you  have good reasons to  hold on for very long term.  Be honest as only then you can demand honesty and fight for your rights.

Good Luck.                                                               See You Later.

Hi Friends,  Please  read the following Philosophical Quotes and think about it.

Hi, when you invest in Shares, it is always a good idea to take  long term view. This help you to ensure better returns and also protection from short term market fluctuations. While choosing Shares for long term, utmost care is necessary and you should know the fundamentals & technical of the particular Share. For the clients benefit I furnish below the difference of Technical analysis Vs Fundamental Analysis.

Fundamental Analysts analyse the Stock based on the goals of investors. They study the financial strength of Corporation, growth of shares, earning and profitability. They also take into account the general industrial and economic conditions. The technical analysts mainly focus attention on the history of prices. Technical analysts choose to study two basic market data- price and volume.  Technical analysis is a process of identifying trend reversals at an early stage to formulate the buying and selling strategies.  Using several indicators, an investor analyses the relationship between price volume and supply demand for the overall market, as well as for the individual stock.  During an upswing, the number of shares traded is greater than before, and in a downswing, the number of shares traded dwindles.  If it is the other way around, trend reversals can be expected.

Fundamental Analysis is estimate the intrinsic value of the Shares and purchases them when they are undervalued. They dispose of the Shares when they are overpriced and earn profits. They try to find out the long term value of Shares. Compared to fundamental analysts, Technical Analysts mainly predict the short term price movements rather than long term movements. They are not committed to a buy and hold policy. Technical analysts use Dow Theory, Candile Stick chart, Elliott wave theory, Landom- walk theory etc.

Fundamentalists are of the opinion that supply and demand for Stock depend on underlying factors. The forecast of supply and demand depend on various factors. Analysts opine that they can forecast supply and demand by studying the prices and volume of trading.

In both approaches, Supply and Demand factors are considered to be critical. Business, Economic, Social and Political factors affect the supply and demand for Securities. These underlying factors in the form of Supply and Demand come together in the Securities market to determine Security prices.  Investors may also look into technical as well as fundamental analysts’ recommendations before investing shares.

Good luck,                                                                    See you later.

Be gentle, not forceful or insistent.

When in doubt, observe others.

Be nice.  Treat everyone the same way, even if you are
