For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul? Jesus Christ

One who trusts others too quickly has a shallow mind, and one who sins does wrong to oneself.  One who rejoices in wickedness will be condemned, but one who hates gossip has less evil.  Never repeat a conversation, and you will lose nothing at all.  With friend or foe do not report it, and unless it would be a sin for you, do not reveal it; for someone may have heard you and watched you, and in time will hate you.    Have you heard something?  Let it die with you.  Be brave, it will not make you burst!     (Bible)

Remember , it is not necessary for others to fail in order that you may succeed.

Keep your mind open and remember that no one knows the last word about anything.

Self-confidence may be mistaken for egotism, if it is not accompanied by humility of the heart.

With all your getting, be sure to get a good stock of common courtesy.

A man who is at peace with himself is also at peace with the world.

You can do it if you believe you can!

Hi Friends,  What is Portfolio Revision?   Portfolio revision refers to the periodic changes made in the components of a portfolio on the basis of the performance evaluation and investor’s goals.  This may be done by either adding or removing securities in the portfolio or changing the proportion of funds invested in the components of the existing portfolio.    The portfolio has to be evaluated and revised to earn a reasonable return.   An investor can sell his shares if the price of shares reaches the historic high prices.  Likewise, if the security does not fulfil the investor’s expectations regarding return and growth, it is better to get rid of it.  When the goals of an investor shift from earnings to capital appreciation, the securities to be  held should be revised according to the portfolio goals.

The investor also considers factors such as risk, quality and tax concessions.  If another stock offers a competitive edge over the present stock, investment should be shifted to the other stock.  Thus, portfolio revision is considered by an investor because of the following factors.:  Shift in the investment goals,  Changes in the aptitude for risk,  Changes in the return profile of the securities,  Increase in the disposable funds for financial investment,  Need for funds  to reduce the portfolio size and Changes in macro-economic factors.  Like other resources, portfolio  also has to be efficiently managed to get high return with low risk.  Portfolio management may be either passive or active.

Good Luck.                                                          See You Later.

Hi Friends,  Interest  rate hike in the US affect Indian Economy.   It’s not the Indian economy alone will be affected.  World over all the economies will be affected.  Only the degree will differ depending on the individual economies.  Investors borrow in low interest currencies, leverage their positions and invest in other risky assets around the world  namely other currencies, stocks, commodities etc.  Each asset class is assigned a risk premium.  This is the extra return investor expects in taking that risk investing in that asset class, say Indian stock markets and so on.  This way of investing is known as ‘carry trade’.  Borrowing in lower interest rate currency, leverage and investing in other asset classes.  When US increases interest rates, investors evaluate the whole set of things.  Carry trade try to get liquidated as much as possible.  They dispose off risky asset classes, deleverage and repay.  This process will set off a selling spree in the asset classes.  Sudden outflows cause temporary mismatches in currency positions, causes currency depreciation, aggregates selling across asset classes.

Worldwide there is always a universal demand for US dollars.  When interest rates are increased in US, this causes liquidity of dollars to dry or diminish.  The external commercial borrowings of corporate in India will face pressures for repayment  of principal and interest payments.  Individual country’s currency depreciation vis a vis USD holds the key to the enormity of effects on increase of interest by US.  It affects the currency more than the economy.  Some of foreign money has to come India because they do not earn attractive returns there.  If that situation is going to change, and as the interest rate spread benefit reduces, some foreign investors may want to pull out from India to invest in their own country.  That will put a pressure on Rupee.  But it may not affect Indian economy severely though a weakening currency will  have some impact.  Because of the open economy of India and impact of globalization, inflation get high in America that means more dollar injunction in the market that make Indian rupee vulnerable.  Now India have to put more money in the market for imported thing...that tends to Indian rupee week.

As interest rate high in us ...FII will liquidate their money from India to invest in their country...but it affects so much to Indian economy.  Outflow of dollar will increase , so  value of rupee will decrease...so imports will be more expensive.  For more impacts wait and see.

Thanking You,                                                          See You later.

Hi Friends,  Please read the inspirational quotes of Life.

Life is either  a daring adventure or nothing.

Life is like a game of cards.  The hand that is dealt you represents determinism;  the way you play it is.

Change is not  merely necessary to life, it is life.

Life is short, art long, opportunity fleeting, experience treacherous, judgment difficult.

Life is a tragedy for those who feel, and a comedy for those who think.

There is only one thing that remains to us, that cannot be taken away: to act with courage and dignity and to stick to the ideals that have given meaning to life.

Life is a play.  It’s not its length, but its performance that counts.

We become happier, much happier, when we realize life is an opportunity rather than an obligation.

Life is like a library owned by the author.  In it are a few books which he wrote himself, but most of them were written for him.

We make our fortunes, and we call them fate.

Life is a child playing around your feet, a tool you hold firmly in your grip, a bench you sit
down upon in the evening, in your garden.

The best way to prepare for life is to begin to live.

Life’s  a voyage that’s  homeward bound.
In three words I can sum up everything I know about life.  It goes on.

That state of life is most happy where superfluities are not required and necessities are not wanting.

Clever people master life;  the wise illuminate it and create fresh difficulties.

The whole of life is but a moment of time.   It is our duty, therefore to use it, not to misuse it.

Life is a rich strain of music, suggesting a realm too fair to be.

One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure.

Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.

Good Luck.                                                                      See You Later.

Hi Friends,    Day Trading:   Holding the stock positions within the current trading day is known as day trading.  In other words, it means not holding any position overnight.  In day trading, positions in the markets are squared before the end of that day.  This is the safest way to do day trading because the trader is not exposed to the potential losses that can occur overnight.  The overnight news can affect the prices of the stock.  Any news regarding a company or any macroeconomic event that happens after the closure of the stock exchange may affect the next day’s opening price of the stock.

A day trader typically trades (buys or sells) several times a day looking for fractions of a point to a few points per trade, but closes out all his positions by day’s end.  The goal of a day trader is to capitalize on price movement within one trading day.  Unlike investors, a day trader may hold positions for only a few  seconds or minutes and never overnight.  Day traders fall into the following two categories.  Scalpers:    This type of day trading involves the rapid and repeated buying and selling of a large volume of stocks within seconds or minutes.  The objective is to earn a small percentage of profit per share on each transaction while minimizing the risk.   Momentum traders:   The trader identifies the moving patterns of the stocks during the day and buys stocks at bottoms and sell at tops within a day.

Day trading offers the following advantages:  No Overnight risk.   Positions are closed before the end of the trading day.  News and events that affect the next trading day’s opening prices do not impact the trader’s portfolio.   Leverage.   Day traders have a greater leverage on their trading capital because of low margin  requirements as they close their trade on the same market day.  This increased  leverage can increase the profits.  Gains from market movement.  Day trading often  utilizes short selling to take advantage of declining stock prices.  The ability to lock in profits even as  markets fall throughout  the trading day is extremely useful in a bear market conditions.

Good Luck.                                                                See You Later.

Hi Friends,  Please read the following positive and inspirational quotes.

Life is a mirror and  will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.

Faith alone is what really matters.

Let there be peace on earth – And let it begin with me.

Never look at the visible supply;  always look at the limitless riches in the formless substance and know that they are coming to you as fast as you can receive and use them.

I suggest that you believe without the physical evidence, hold on to the truth that the universe is perfect and will move into form whatever you desire if you just do the planting and take care of the seeds.  Have faith.

You must be the change you want to see in the world.

That’s my gift.  I let that negativity roll off me like water off a duck’s back.  If it’s not positive, I didn’t hear it.  If you can overcome that, fights are easy.

We can learn to move into the unknown with the confidence that we have a guiding force within us that is showing us the way.

It is not what you don’t know that hurts you.  It’s what you do know that ain’t so.

Life isn’t  about finding yourself.  Life’s about creating yourself.

If you don’t like something change it;  if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.

You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be.

Empty pockets never held anyone back.  Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.

Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

I have a tremendous faith in the innate healing intelligence of the human body.

Good Luck.                                                                       See You Later.

Hi Friends,   Online Trading:   Online trading means the purchase and sale of stocks on the Internet.  All stock exchanges offer an e-trading facility.  Earlier,  trading took place in the trading hall.  Orders were placed with the stockbroker either verbally (personally or telephonically) or in a written form (fax).  In online trading , the investor accesses a stockbroker’s website through his/her Internet-enabled personal computer and places orders through the broker’s  Internet-based order routing and trading engine.  These orders are routed to the stock exchange without manual interference and then given effect.  All the players in the securities  market, viz., stockbrokers, stock exchanges, clearing  corporations, depositories, DPs, clearing banks, etc., are electronically linked.  The information flow happens in real time among them.  The orders are routed to the exchange in seconds.

Many securities trading agencies provide online trading facilities to their clients’ homes.  Earlier, computer terminals at the brokers’ premises acted as the trading platform but now it has been shifted to the homes of investors.  This provides more transparency in transactions.  The investor knows exactly when and at what rate his order was processed.  Manipulation is difficult.

Procedure for Online trading:   Listed below are the main steps involved in online trading:  A. An Investor has to register with the online trading portals listed on the site.  B.  He has to open a bank account using the Internet, at the trading portals of banking and depository service partners.  C. He must be a registered iConnect user.   D. On placing an order to buy or sell securities through the listed online trading portal, he has to click on the ‘pay through’ bank listed on the online portal, which will direct him to  a login screen of the investor’s account.  E.  Once the login ID and password are entered, he has to verify the transaction details and confirm the transaction by entering his transaction ID and password.   F.  An email confirmation will follow giving the status  of the transaction, once the order has been executed.  G. His account status is updated on a real-time basis.  The securities’ status can be viewed online after the day of settlement.

Thanking you,                                                               See You Later.

Hi Friends,  Please read the following positive and inspirational quotes.

The law of attraction is this:  You don’t attract what you want.  You attract what you are.

You are what you think about all day long.

We are what we think.  All that we are arises with our thoughts.  With our thoughts, we make our world.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.

Your attitude, not your aptitude, determines your altitude.

You must not allow yourself to dwell for a single moment on any kind of negative thought.

Don’t be too timid and squeamish about your actions.  All life is an experiment.  The more experiments you make the better.

How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow I’m committed to?Constant repetition carries conviction.

The world is what we think it is.  If we can change our thoughts, we can change the world.

Sit quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself.

There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference.  The little difference is attitude.  The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.

No pessimist never discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.

If you believe you can or you believe you can’t you’re right.

A positive attitude leads to happiness and success.

Thanking you,                                                                       See You Later.

Hi Friends,  Know more about Share Investors:

Investors can be broadly classified into the following categories:  A.   Retail Investors.  B. Institutional Investors.   C. Foreign  Institutional Investors  (FIIs).

Retail Investors:     Individual investors are persons who buy and sell securities for their personal account, and not for another company or organization.  They are known as individual investors or small investors.

Institutional Investors:    Institutional investors are  mutual funds, unit trusts, insurance companies, banks, and other large institutions which invest their members’ money in shares and bonds.  They have professional analysts and advisers who can usually analyse the stock market trends much better than individual investors.  They trade in large volumes and play a vital role in the stock market.  Institutional investors often account for the bulk of the trade done on the stock exchange, over a sustained period.

Foreign Institutional Investors:      Foreign Institutional Investors are venture capital funds, pension funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, and other institutions registered outside the country of the financial market in which they take an investment exposure.  FIIs are allowed to invest in the primary and secondary capital  markets in India through the portfolio investment scheme (PIS).  Under this, FIIs can acquire shares or debentures of Indian companies through stock exchanges in India.  They have to be registered with SEBI.   The ceiling for overall investment for FIIs is 24 per cent of the paid up capital of the Indian company.  In the case of public sector banks, including the State Bank of India, the limit is 20 per cent of the paid-up capital.  The ceiling of 24 percent for FII investment can be raised up to the sectoral cap/statutory ceiling subject to the approval of the board  and the general body of the company.

The Indian capital market has attracted many global players like HSBC, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, Crown capital , Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Capital International and ABN Amro.  FIIs have gained a lot of importance  as market participants as they invest large sums of money.  They are often instrumental in giving direction to stock market movements in the short term.

Good Luck.                                                                          See You Later.
