According to the preliminary blueprint that has emerged during Budget discussions, the government plans to focus on these crucial areas to fire up growth and tackle the growing unease in the farm economy.

New Delhi: The government will have to go through a "very difficult process" of pushing reforms and projects to propel India to a high-growth path as it will not happen through some magic wand, Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian said on Saturday.

The CEA said he has taken a "realistic" view while projecting a growth rate of 7-7.75 per cent for the next fiscal and the growth path could be derailed in the event of an 2008-like "extreme crisis" in the world.

It Is A Wise Man Who Pays his debt.

A Chinese man called Mr Xu, swore to God that he didn't owe $100 to his neighbour Mr Huang. In the time it has taken you to read this a lightning bolt struck down Mr Xu. Mr Huang remembered the debt well, Xu borrowed the money for a friend's marriage gift, Will and Guy have discovered.
In desperation Mr Huang said that if Xu dared to swear to god that he did not owe the money, then he would waive the dept. Xu foolishly took up the challenge, and made the oath in front of a crowd of neighbours in Fuqing city, China. Less than a minute after Xu made his oath, he was struck down by lightning.
Xu was quickly taken to hospital where doctors confirmed he had indeed been injured by lightning. While he is expected to make a full recovery, it is hoped that Xu will learn from this parable and settle his debt honourably.

India's economic growth is seen slowing to 7-7.5 per cent in the fiscal year to March 2017 from 7.6 per cent in the current year, the Economic Survey said on Friday.
The Survey, prepared by the finance ministry's Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian, was tabled in Parliament ahead of the presentation of the union budget by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday.

Sensex and Nifty ended higher in trades on Friday led by gains in beaten down banking and metal shares.
The Sensex advanced 178 points to close at 23,154 and Nifty rose 59 points to settle at 7,030.
Meanwhile, the government tabled Economic Survey before the parliament. The Survey pegs India's GDP growth between 7-7.75 per cent for the financial year 2016-17 and the report also suggested that the government would likely achieve its fiscal target of 3.9 per cent for current financial year and stressed on importance of sticking to fiscal deficit target of 3.5 per cent for the next financial year. This boosted the hopes of further rate cuts by the Reserve Bank of India pushing equities and bonds higher.

                                      BIG FRANK.

Big Frank was having his hair styled at the hairdresser's when a lorry smashed into a car, outside. Draped in a cape, his hair divided with aluminium clips, Frank, an ex-paratrooper corporal raced out to the car and found the driver unhurt.
The lorry driver, however, was slumped over the wheel, unconscious. Big Frank lost no time in applying his army acquired CPR techniques, including mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The lorry driver recovered consciousness several times, but kept passing out again.
Soon the ambulance arrived with the paramedics and took over, and Frank returned to his barber's seat. 'I just don't understand why he kept passing out,' he said to the hairdresser. 'I did everything they taught me.'
'Well, put yourself in the lorry drivers place, 'said the hairdresser. 'He's driving down the street without a care in the world. The next thing he knows, he's waking up to see some big guy in a green cape with a head full of wires pounding on his chest and kissing him. You'd pass out too'

Hi friends, though we primarily advocate long term and buy and hold investment strategies, this does not mean that shares should never be sold. Change is the law of life. There is no share which can be bought and forgotten forever. What was a good buy last year may be a better sell a few years hence. Therefore, selling decisions cannot be avoided altogether. The long term or buy and hold investor can postpone and restrict selling decisions in his overall investment strategy, but he cannot eliminate them completely

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu announced a 20 per cent hike in planned railway spending for 2016-17, but a big revenue miss for the current year disappointed stock markets. The BSE Sensex slumped to its third consecutive day of losses, while the rupee traded around 68.75 per dollar.
A slowdown in growth of passenger and freight revenues has put pressure on the railways' finances and raised doubts about Mr Prabhu's revenue target, analysts said.
"The railways under achieved on freight and passenger targets... asking to grow at 10 per cent looks like a leap of faith," said market analyst Ajay Bagga.
He described the rail budget as "incremental."

9:29 a.m.: The Sensex and Nifty were trading on a subdued note in the opening deals on Thursday ahead of the railway budget which will be announced later in the day.

The Sensex slipped as much as 34 points to 23,088.93 and the 50-share Nifty managed to hold its key psychological level of 7,000.

I am in high school and I am 14 years old. My story is mostly untold, until now. It is currently November 2015. In September 2015, my great grandma died. She was sick and old. We were very close. She was in the hospice for a few weeks, and I would visit her. I remember once I was visiting her, she was sleeping, peacefully, still breathing, but very slowly. I went up to her, knelt down and whispered in her ear, "Grandma, it's me, Jaylen. I don't know if you can hear me, but, I want you to know that it's okay to go. I know you are holding on, you don't want to leave, and none of us want you to leave either. I don't want you to suffer. I, we, all love you. We are okay with you leaving, even though it will hurt. But you will always be with us, everywhere we go. It's okay to leave, and we all love you very much." I started crying and walked away. A few weeks later, she passed away at the age of 87. I then knew she heard me. I heard the news at my house and I ran upstairs to my room and cried. I looked out my window and looked up at the clouds and said, "Thank you, I love you." I said goodbye to her for the last time at her funeral, which was really hard to do, I loved her. I then realized that people come and go, they change your lives forever. They shape you and your future, they make you better at being you. I thank my great grandma for everything she did for me, and it made me love her more. I always look back on this, and I use it to fix my mistakes, and use it to learn in new situations. She was the part in my life that made me want to do more. I know that she wants me to be successful and do things when I can, look back on moments, and it made me the person I am today. She will never be forgotten. If any of you reading this has someone like my grandma, thank that person for all he/she has done. When they are gone, you realize what they have done for you, and you should be grateful for that.

Ever since the economic growth of China - India's largest trading partner in goods - started slowing down, concerns have been raised over its possible impact on the Indian economy. The steep fall in value of the Chinese currency Yuan in recent weeks has once again emboldened the naysayers. Last week's stock market crash in India, though it was only a shade of what happened in China, has only added strength to such voices.

While it will be erroneous to argue that India will not be impacted by the economic churning happening in China, it will be equally irresponsible to suggest that India will be completely doomed if China falters.

I am a little kid, age 11, So I'm a little sensitive. When I was around 7, My favourite cat, Meatloaf, had to be put down because of kitty cancer. At first I just shut everyone that I loved. Then I started bullying. My grandmother saw what had happened to me and she rounded up my, small but awesome, group of friends. She said that it was sort of an intervention for me. She said that everyone who knew Meatloaf enough was missing him and that I wasn't the only one suffering. My friends explained situations that they themselves had gone through. Most of them teared up and just for me. I had realized that I WASN'T the only one suffering. Everyone had problems, and together we can face them.

A weakening Chinese yuan and a shrinking money supply are the key factors causing China's economic challenges in 2016. Researchers at Deutsche Bank forecast a difficult year for China. China's factories are producing goods that haven't been sold. Financial market volatility may reflect overestimated needs that have led to underutilized resources.

Apartment towers remain unoccupied. The recently approved 2016 economic plan seeks to address these issues. At the Central Economic Work Conference, the potential for stagnant growth was a reoccurring discussion topic at the meeting of the country's top economists. The country's growth depends on the success of China's 2016 plan.
