Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

1. Live Life the Positive Way
Everyone wants to be happy in life. Studies on Positive Psychology have shown that happy people are more creative and productive. They earn more capital and respect, enjoy a better life, have good family bondage and attract more friends as well as other people. They stay healthier and outlive their grumpy colleagues.
Blessed with reasonably sound health, economic security, good family support and friends, there is no valid reason anyone should be unhappy. Yet, some people possessing these virtues remain distressed.

Many people have the habit of regretting the PAST and worrying about the FUTURE. Very conveniently, they forget the essence of the PRESENT and stop valuing it. Actually, the PAST is HISTORY. One should not continuously regret the sour experiences of the past while carrying the burden of negative thoughts and be miserable in the day to day life. One should however, remember the pleasant events of the past if at all with nostalgia and learn from the mistakes from the past. One should realize that the FUTURE is a mystery which can only be improved and made secure by doing purposeful work in the PRESENT. Also acknowledge the fact that PRESENT is the ‘gift’ of life and that is why it is called ‘PRESENT’. Accept this present (gift) with gratitude and try to live it happily and usefully.

8. Charity
Donate some portions of your earnings for charity or a good cause. Studies have shown that the happiness quotient of those, who spare some part of their income for a charitable cause, is significantly higher than that of their counterparts who spend all their earnings on themselves.

9. Peace
Do not disturb the peace of others, particularly if they are younger or lower in status. Stay away from habitually criticizing. Try to see the positive attributes in people and inculcate the habit of appreciating.

10. Stay Calm
Do not lose temper on trifle issues. Have the grace to ignore. Humans are the only creatures who can understand, think logically and are able to control their anger as well as emotions. Try to let go off your ego. Cultivate humility and compassion. Anger should be short lived. Be more forgiving. Keep your mind devoid of negative emotions . This will provide inner peace and joy.

11. Honest and Truthful
Be honest and truthful. Behave in a responsible manner and honor what you say. This way you will earn self-esteem and admiration.

13. Be Positive
Develop a positive attitude in life. Live with a purpose and spend every day fruitfully, happily and constructively.

So, to conclude we would say that by adapting to the above mentioned Mantras one can undoubtedly lead a joyful and fulfilling life.
