If you have Rs 1 lakh and look to invest the entire amount in stocks in India, you need to think again. Though one must admit that the markets are still down a good 6 to 7 per cent from peak levels, they still do not merit large sums and please see the reasons. Indian markets are heavily priced Indian markets are well known to be the most expensive stock markets among emerging and developed markets. The Sensex trailing p/e is almost 24 times, which is way above other markets like China, Korea, Russia, Brazil etc., where you have p/e multiples ranging from 8 to 15 times. For long the story has been that India is a large market with a huge demographic dividend, and hence attractive. While the reasoning and logic is true, investors are paying a huge price and from large caps, to midcaps to small caps, nothing looks cheap any longer. Of course, there will be a case to invest but only at lower levels. Change in MSCI emerging market index The National Stock Exchange, BSE Ltd and Metropolitan Stock Exchange said last week that they would stop licensing products and data to foreign exchanges to prevent trading from migrating overseas. "The breadth of the restrictions announced were "unprecedented" and could lead to "unnecessary disruptions in trading or a potential change in the market classification of the Indian market in the MSCI Indexes", the MSCI warned. Indian stocks have a weight of 8.4 per cent weightage in MSCI Emerging Markets index. And, because of the exchanges move to stop licesing products, the MSCI could reduce the Indian weightage resulting in a pull out a few billion dollars by FPIs in India. This could add pressure in the short to medium term and also reduce inflows into the markets.  Earnings have still not picked up For almost two to three years now, we have heard analysts telling the same story, how there would be an earnings pick-up in India. Investors are still waiting, while the index has gone up, earnings have not. This has led to p/e expansion, making the markets even more expensive. As mentioned earlier, a trailing p/e of 24 times on the Sensex makes it extremely expensive at current levels. So, you would be buying into an expensive market. Even on a one year forward basis the markets are expensive at a p/e of 20 times.  Elections round the corner We have state elections through this year and probably one year from now, we have the elections to the central government. It is difficult to believe that the NDA government would better its tally than in 2014. In fact, markets have now got a bit jittery on where things could go in 2019. It may not be a cakewalk for the present dispensation. State elections in Karnataka, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh would provide cues to what could be in store in 2019. To that extent it makes sense not to take heavy exposure at least one year before elections.  Bond yields are rising Bond yields are also rising, putting pressure on stock markets around the world. In the US bond yields surged to near 2.91 per cent, while in India it hit 7.6 per cent and is now edging towards the 8 per cent mark. This allows investors to look at safe government instruments even while protecting their capital. Rising inflation has also been weighing on the markets. The recent Minutes of the Meeting released by the Monetary Policy Committee pointed to a very hawkish tone and we could see interest rates rising in the coming days. In all probability monetary easing has ended and we could see the first interest rate hike this year. It therefore makes sense to move at least a little money to debt from equities.

SHARE MARKET-- position trading/advantages & disadvantages,

                       Position Trading

The most forgiving type of trading - small mistakes are more easily absorbed in market movement and the size of your eventual profit.

The easiest to learn. It is estimated that up to 25% of position traders learn to become profitable.

Easier to become successful with smaller startup capital.
Much easier to predict the market as in general you will be following the overall trend.
In general position trading is profitable.
Less time consuming than day trading.

Compounding has a lot less effect on profit than both intraday and swing trading.

Because positions can be highly leveraged and trades remain open for extended periods of time, unable to reap consistent benefits of interest.

There is inherent risk in keeping positions open over night. It is quite possible for drastic changes to occur in the market while you sleep.
Money can be tied up for an extended period of time. This can prevent entry into new positions as they arise.
Because of the length of time involved in position trading, traders can experience significant drawdown with the expectation that it will turn around and start trending back in the desired direction. Psychologically this can have a very negative effect.

The company over the next few years is likely to benefit from the growing healthcare needs of patients as well as value addition. The company runs 1200 plus beds across all its centres. Kauvery Hospital deploys the Avant-Grade technology, especially in diagnostics and remedial care in heart diseases, transplantation, vascular and neurosciences medicine. KMC Hospitals: Reasonably valued For the quarter ending Dec 31, 2017 the company reported a decent performance. The net profits at the company nearly doubled to Rs 2.01 crores from Rs 1.29 crores in the quarter ending Dec 31, 2016, 2016. Revenues at the company was Rs 19.37 crores. We expect the hospital to continue to show good growth in the coming quarters. The hospital can report an EPS of Re 1 by 2019-20. Hospital stocks generally get a very high p/e multiple of 40 to 50 times. If we apply the same for KMC Speciality, the stock should trade at Rs 40 at the very least in the coming years. At the current price of Rs 21, the stock is not a bad bet.

Buy RCI Industries & Technologies: SP Tulsian

Below is the verbatim transcript of the CNBC TV
Latha: What is your long term bet?
A: My long term bet today is RCI Industries. If you see the interesting business model they have, they are largely making copper wires which are going to get used into the electric vehicles, defence, in fact already they are used into automotive cables, defence, electrical, consumer electronics. If you see, they are making very specialised kind of things, I am not going too technical, but if I just want to say that they are making electrolytic tough pitch and pressurised high phosphorous copper wire which are going to get used into electric vehicles and the defence and applications and all that and because of that, they are increasing their capacity also at their existing plant at Baddi and promoters have already subscribed to the preferential allotments by raising their stocks in the company.

If I quickly go into the financial performance, the company for first half of 2018 had a topline of Rs 1,084 crore with a PAT of about Rs 17 crore translating into an EPS of closer to about Rs 7 of H1. In fact if you see, the second half has always been good for the company because FY17 EPS has been at Rs 27 which was on a comparable basis for this first half, has been at Rs 5-6. So going forward the company is going to be posting an EPS of closer to about Rs 24-25 for FY18.
If I take the financials of the company, it is quite interesting. The market cap is just at Rs 275 crore on a topline which company is going to report of Rs 2,100 crore. So the equity turnover ratio advantage is going to be in favour of the company and as I said, promoters have raised their stake in the company to 64 percent recently. The company is having cash now in their books because of this preferential allotment having made to the promoters which will get used for capacity expansion.
So, if you take on a valuation basis, share is ruling at a core P/E of about 7.5 and if I net off the cash which the company has in its books, it is ruling at 6 P/E. So taking all this into consideration, share now ruling at Rs 205, can move up to a level of about Rs 245 in next six months or so.

FUNNY SHORT STORY (Title-Wrong Email Address).
A couple going on vacation, but his wife was on a business trip, so he went to the destination first and his wife would meet him the next day.  When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email.  Unfortunately when typing her address he mistyped a letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had passed away only the day before.  When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing screen, and fell to the floor in a dead faint.  At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:   Dearest:  Just got , checked in.   Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.   P.S.  Sure is hot down here.

Stock market--How do I successfully pick stocks?

Successful stock picking is an art which can be perfected with practice and patience. Here are the 8 steps (with questions to be answered first) before you select a stock to invest in the stock market:

Does the company have a good fundamentals?
Here are few financial ratios and their trend that can help you to find a fundamentally strong company.
·         Earnings Per Share (EPS) – Increasing for last 5 years
·         Price to Earnings Ratio (P/E) – Low compared to companies in same sector
·         Price to Book Ratio (P/B) – Low compared companies in same sector
·         Debt to Equity Ratio – Should be less than 1
·         Return on Equity (ROE) – Should be greater than 20%
·         Price to Sales Ratio (P/S) – Smaller ratio (less than 1) is preferred
·         Current Ratio – Should be greater than 1
·         Dividend Yield – Increasing for the last 5 years
These financial results, however, gives the past growth. You cannot decide whether the company will perform same or better in the future based on just past trends. Therefore, you need to consider other important factors which are discussed in next steps.
2. Do you understand the products or services offered by the company?
After filtering the companies according to their financial fundamentals, you need to investigate about the company. Understand the company first. Learn about it’s product and services. It’s important that the company is easy-to-understand and has a fairly straightforward business model.
3. Will people still be using this product or service in 15-20 years from now?
Always look for a company with long life. Such companies have huge growth potential and the power of compounding applies to such companies.
4. Does the company have a low-cost durable competitive advantage?
“In business, I look for economic castles protected by unbreachable ‘moats’.”
-Warren Buffett

Invest in companies with ‘MOAT’This concept was popularized by Mr. Warren Buffet. A moat is a deep, wide ditch surrounding a castle, fort, or town, typically filled with water and intended as a defense against attack. Some stocks have a similar moat around them. That’s why it’s really tough for its competitors to defeat them in its sector.

SHARE MARKET--10 Different Types Of Trading Styles – Which One Is For You?

The world of trading has a lot of variety in terms of opportunities. Due to the vast variety of opportunities that exist in the dynamic mechanism of the stock markets, many different types of trading styles can be applied. It is very important to choose a trading style which suits your personality and preferences. It is also heavily dependent on your psychology. To become successful you will need to prioritize a style according to how your mind works. For instance, A trader who has a mind-set of generating fixed returns will do better in options trading than in swing trading strategies and vice versa.
There are no Best Types of Trading styles.
Understand your own psychology, and the game will teach you the game.

Choosing from the types of trading styles made easy:
1. Intraday Trading – Most commonly practiced among retail traders in the Indian stock market, positions are squared off before the closing hours of the market. Intraday trading philosophy is that overnight exposure is risky. Traders book profits or losses quickly and do multiple trades every day. It suits people who are least bothered about fundamentals or the things that are considered important to be a successful investor in the long-run. To them, it’s all about money management, timing entries & exits and position sizing appropriately. You can either be jobbing or trading the momentum. Intraday trading involves taking on additional leverage to generate higher returns. They are always looking to make higher ROIs than other trading formats. It is also among the most aggressive types of trading styles. Intraday trading format thrives on high volatility as the number of opportunities go up during such times. A successful intraday trader understands the importance of consistency and the power of compounding returns on a short-term basis. If consistency is maintained, then returns can be compounded on a monthly or quarterly basis. Intraday trading is only suitable for those who can dedicate a fair amount of time tracking the movements of stock markets regularly.

Hi Friends,  Please read the following positive and kindness thoughts.

Believe in yourself and all that you are, and know that there is something inside of you that is greater than any obstacle.

You feel good, you feel bad, and these feelings are bubbling from your own unconsciousness, from your own past.  Nobody is responsible except you.  Nobody can make you angry, and nobody can make you happy.

To be creative means to be in love with life.  You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty , you want to bring a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it. (Osho).

Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives but none about his or her own . (Paulo Coelho).

When you come to a point where you have no need to impress anybody, your freedom will begin.

As  long as you are intend to improve, no one can stop you from success.

Clear things one at a time, whatever can be cleared-whoever speaks with two months gets slapped hard. (Kabir).

A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.

The beauty you see in me is a reflection of you.

Inside every person, there remains a devil and a saint.  With experience and  knowledge, we can kill our devil to emerge as true saint.

Never stop doing little things for others, sometimes, those little things occupy the biggest part of their heart.

Learning is a gift.  Even pain is your teacher.

Happiness is not something really made.  It comes from our own actions.

We can learn something from every one we meet, but our mind must be open.

Good Luck .                                                          See You Later.

SHARE MARKET--What are some share market tips you can give?

*Timing the share market*
I attended a Party, recently, with a gathering of about 300 people and sat in the front row.
A Lady started distributing snacks from the *back row* and unfortunately, it didn't get to us sitting in the *front row.*
Another Lady started handing out Drinks, from the *front row.* But, by then, I had already moved to the *Back row.* and, so, the drink didn't get to me.
I was irritated and stood up to leave.
But, then, I saw three ladies each with A Big Bowl of vegetable Manchurian dry. This time, I tried to be Wise by sitting in the *Middle row.* One of the Ladies started the sharing from the Front, and the second Lady started distributing from the back. When they got to the middle row where I was seated, it got over again!
Feeling frustrated, I bent my head, putting my Face in My Hands.
But, then, the third Lady tapped me and held out her Bowl.
I stretched out my Hand and guess what was in the Bowl?
*Don’t try to Position yourself and time the markets. If you are disciplined and patient, then, good returns will come to you automatically sooner or later.*
*Otherwise, you will wrongfully position yourself for Toothpicks Only!!!!*

SHARE MARKET--What are some excellent (FMCG) stocks for long term investment?

One of the most ignored sector in FMCG is dairy sector. The listed companies in this sector are still small (the biggest having just 5000 crs market cap) and have a lot of growth potential, particularly in value added segment like flavored milk, cheese, butter, curd, paneer, yoghurt, basumathi rice etc.

People from Mumbai might be familiar with these products,

These brands belong to Parag Milk Foods ltd, the newly listed dairy company. The company is focusing on increasing its distribution network across India and is going to double the advertising spend in coming years. I like this company because it’s focusing on high margin segments like cheese and flavored milk. In fact, Parag may become the first private dairy to export cheese to Russia.

Another company to look at, which is the biggest private dairy in India, is Hatsun Agro Ltd. This company is mainly focused on milk, curd and ice creams. It has shown a huge growth in turnover and operating profits over the last decade.

Another promising company id Sanwaria consumer ltd.[price mere rs.22 only)sanwari busmathi rice is very famous and they are exporting to Iran also.

An interesting thing to note is that the operating margin of these companies is just 8–9% currently, which can increase substantially with scale and brand recognition. ROCE is above 25%, operating cash flows are good and valuation on EV/EBITDA is 15–18, cheaper than most of the established fmcg players. The growth rate is faster than almost all established FMCG companies.

Keep in mind that these companies are not for traders or speculators, only long term investors.

stok market--What are the simple things made you a better trader?a tip from an investor.

I actually had the opportunity to learn about trading from traders having more than two decades of experience and also was fortunate enough to work with some of the leading names in this industry.
This experience is something which you won't find in books or videos or any articles for that matter.
The way they used to do their analysis, their thought process, mindset, status quo, I got to experience all this when I was learning from them.
Honestly, tips was something I didn't know. I'm not kidding. Till date I have never relied on tips and would advocate others also to not rely on them.
I was always taught to follow a rule based system. When I say a rule based system, it means having an entry level, stop loss level and a predefined target level. Every time I enter a trade, I make sure I place a stop loss order immediately. I get impatient if I don't place a stop loss.
There's a money management plan I follow. I know my targets for the month. Once my targets are achieved, I stop trading for the month and actually utilize that time to learn something else or enhance my knowledge. This way one can avoid overtrading.
Practice. I go through close to 50 charts daily and always look to keep improving. As they say, practice makes a man perfect! This way, one keeps getting better.
Trading is easy. We tend to complicate it. It's about doing the process right and not worry about the end result.
Yes, if you do the basics right, you will definitely see good results over a period of time :)

What Is Motivation and How to Strengthen It.

By Remez Sasson
What is motivation? It is the inner power that pushes you toward taking action and toward achievement. Motivation is powered by desire and ambition, and therefore, if they are absent, motivation is absent too.
Sometimes, you might have the desire to get something done, or to achieve a certain goal, but if the desire and ambition are not strong enough, you lack the push, the initiative, and the willingness to take the necessary action. in these cases, you lack of motivation and inner drive.
When there is motivation, there is initiative and direction, courage, energy, and the persistence to follow your goals.

This is how I research to find out a share to invest in long-term:
I have indicated many times that out of the listed universe of around 7000 stocks listed on the BSE, it is extremely difficult to pick the “best” stocks to invest, as it depends on person to person. But my method of selecting stock is furnished below.
1) Balance sheet.
2) Cash flow statement.
3) Debt/Equity ratio. Zero debt is what gets me really excited. Eps should be healthy. P/e ratio should not be very high. It should also not be very low.
4) Checking whether the brand is well recognized or not.
5) If 1, 2, 3 and 4 make me exuberant, I download the annual report, print it out and read it thoroughly with a pessimistic viewpoint. This is because annual reports can be too flattering. Correlate what you’re reading with 1, 2, 3 and 4.
6) Think of the company’s long term prospects. For ex- Housing Finance companies would be notching up incredible growth for the next 15 years or so.
PS: With enough looking, you can strike gold. It’s not that difficult.
