STOCK MARKET--After the massive decline in the Indian share market, which are the best shares to invest in for a long term?

At a pure logical level, it will be the large cap private banks - HDFCBank, ICICI Bank, AxisBank, KotakBank.
Here is the rationale:
BankNifty has a little over 1/3rd weight in Nifty and within BankNifty, above stocks have a collective weight over 70%.
BankNifty has a 86% correlation with Nifty so when the recovery happens, above stocks will ride the recovery: all these stocks have a beta > 1 so for every 1% gain in Nifty, a portfolio comprising above stocks will deliver more
