Lord Jesus Christ Says...

Treat others as you want to be treated. Matthew 7:12 states it that simply. Improve your life today by treating those around you with kindness and respect.

SHARE MARKET--DISCOUNT SALE ENDS//look for investing long term.

This means a lot of selling pressure, that was seen has abated. So, rest assured that there would be some buying now, especially at the retail level. Investors would have sold shares to avoind paying capital gains tax and would now use the same money to buy shares. Mutual funds would be flush with funds from tax saving schemes Mutual fund houses would also be flush with funds from schemes like ULIP and Equity Linked Saving Schemes. Investors would have invested money in these schemes ahead of the March 31, 2018 deadline for sec 80C benefits.

Fund houses would now need to deploy this money. Large amounts tend to get parked into mutual funds schemes like ULIPs and ELSS, ahead of the March 31, deadline.  There is also an incentive for mutual funds to invest, given that the benchmark indices have fallen a good 9 per cent from peak levels. Calmer on the global front Things seem to now be calmer on the global front. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met Chinese President Xi Jinping during a four-day unofficial visit.

·         "Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember, that's where you will find success." --Thomas J. Watson

SHARE MARKET--What happens when you hold a stock forever?/see the magic.

If I had the technology to send a message back in time, I would tell my father in 1980 to “Use Rs.10,000 to buy 100 shares of Wipro as an one-time investment and never sell it for the next 30-35 years.” If he had done that his investment would now be worth about Rs.535 crores. Yes, you read that right. Crores, not thousands or lakhs.

This is one of the common examples given when people come into investing in shares in India.
Lets just assume that you bought 100 shares of Wipro each at a face value of Rs.100 in the year 1980. Total investment: Rs.10,000. You don’t touch it at all, no profit booking or buying more shares. Occasionally companies provide benefits to its shareholders by way of corporate actions. They could provide bonus shares for shares that you hold, they could do a stock split where a high face value share would be broken down into smaller face value shares but number of shares increases proportionately, etc. They paid good dividend every year etc.
There have been numerous such companies that have given great returns to investors, like Reliance, Titan, Dr. Reddy Labs, etc. No one can predict which company would grow to such a huge levels before 30 years. Remember, for every Wipro like story, there are thousands of companies which has eroded investors wealth and become penny stocks. Investing in equities alone isn’t enough, investing in the right company at the right time is even more important.
Good luck-- I have in my portfolio in the following shares for minimum 10 years. genus paper and boards(RS.12/50), confidence petrolium india ltd( Rs.29/-),Jiyo ecoproducts(Rs.111/-)--interested persons try.

SHARE MARKET--5 Financial Ratios You Should Use To Become A Smart Investor + 5 shares in these category for investment.

For an average investor, analyzing financial statements could be a nightmare if one does not have basic accounting knowledge. So how can an average investor analyze financial statements of a company? This is where financial ratios come to the rescue. Financial ratios are data derived from the financial statements of a company (such as Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statement, and cash flow statements) and are presented as ratios, percentages and per share data. Financial ratios are easier to understand, simple to calculate and make comparisons of two companies easy.

Financial Ratios are divided in various categories such as profitability ratios, liquidity ratios, management efficiency ratios etc (To learn about types of financial ratios please read: Types of financial ratios and what they mean). Although there are many financial ratios in each category, being smart investors, you should use few, but most important financial ratios to analyze fundamentals of a company:
“Financial ratios can be an important tool for investors to measure progress of a company toward reaching their goals”
Basic EPS:
While analyzing a stock, first question you must ask is “How much does the company earn?” You can easily get that data in Company’s profit and loss statement. So why should you look at EPS and not Earnings? What Earnings data does not tell you is how much a company is earning on each share. EPS gives you the quality of earning by dividing company’s earnings on each share, a company with good earnings may be earning less on per share basis but a company with low earnings may be have high earning on per share basis.
Basic EPS is financial indicator which measures the total earning of a company on per share basis. In other words, Basic EPS measures how much the company earns on each share. It is calculated by dividing net income by total number of outstanding shares of the company. High EPS is an indication of healthy profits, a sign that company is doing well in its business. An investor should look for consistency and growth in EPS for at least 5-10 years, if the EPS growth is stagnant or is inconsistent, then you should be cautious.
